Walt Disney Imagineering
During my 6-year tenure at Walt Disney Imagineering, I designed, prototyped, oversaw the fabrication of, and installed a wide variety of special effects, animatronic body shells, brackets, thematic lighting elements, and more. Each project gave me a chance to develop and hone specialized skillsets, all in the service of creating never-before-seen magic and immersive storytelling experiences that can also stand up to the rigors of theme park environments.
Flying X-Wings
Galaxy's Edge, Florida
As the Lead Special Effects Designer for this project, I was tasked with designing, prototyping, testing, coordinating production, and integrating multiple lighting effects intended to make it seem as though we had defied the laws of reality and brought the X-Wing from the mythology of Star Wars into our world. This groundbreaking project is now on permeant display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.

The Enchanted Tales of Beauty and the Beast
(Tokyo Disneyland)
During my time at WDI I spent a year with the Surface Development group applying my expertise in SolidWorks modeling to create various shells for the animatronic Beauty and Beast figures in this e-ticket attraction. I worked in tandem with our costumers and mechanical engineering teams in order to develop pieces that could stand up to the rigors of theme park operations while maintaing the artistic vision set by our art directors.

Peter Pan's Flight
Tokyo Disneyland
I lead the Effects production and installation effort for the refurbishment of the Peter Pan's Flight attraction at Tokyo Disneyland in 2016. The production period lasted approximately 4 months, and installed over 5 weeks. I ensured that each effect was produced to specification, installed correctly, and functioned as intended, working closely with our installation partners at OLC and troubleshooting as needed while on-site.
