As a Creative Technologist and Design Engineer at VT Pro Design, I developed, prototyped, and fabricated a wide variety of props, scenic elements, and LED assemblies for use in various brand activations (both temporary and permanent installations). I enjoyed the fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where we were also encouraged to create our own projects and learn new skills during down time between builds.
SAP Kuka Arm Special Effect Lightbox
Given only a basic concept sketch, I designed one-of-a-kind themed lighting elements which were able to be fully controlled while simultaneously being swung through the air by KUKA robotic arms. I achieved not only look that our creative team was looking for, but also structural soundness and safety for the rigors of continuous motion on the end of the robot.
Stranger Things Radioactive Canisters
Tasked with creating prop replica radioactive canisters for the Stranger Things retail experience at the Americana at Brand, I started with only screenshots from the show and transformed those images into props that looked the part so much that a second set was commissioned to be given as gifts to the executives at Netflix.
